George Russell continued his fine form at the Italian Grand Prix, comfortably topping the final free practice session at Monza, over two-tenths clear of Lewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen rounded out the top three, whilst Kimi Antonelli and Lando Norris completed the top five at the Temple of Speed.
Despite Russell's electric pace giving him a seemingly comfortable buffer heading into qualifying, where his penalty-bound team-mate will be aiding his efforts, the fight for second place is close, with only three more tenths down to eighth.
It was another relatively quiet session, with Liam Lawson spinning at the first chicane one of the standout moments from the third hour of practice running.
Oscar Piastri was particularly grumpy, taking to team radio on multiple occasions to vent his frustration at traffic and the difficulties he encountered getting an adequate tow for his qualifying simulations. The McLaren driver ended up eighth, after Russell ruined his penultimate effort.
Verstappen and Hamilton proved that there is no love lost between them in the dying moments. After the Ferrari driver cheekily snuck by into the final corner before their last push laps, the Dutchman dive-bombed him into Turn 1, scuppering both their attempts. The two drivers were noted by the stewards for the episode but not further action was taken.
Both Williams drivers are under investigation for potential yellow flag infringements, after Alex Albon was also handed a warning for incorrectly using an escape road.
