Lewis has taken pole position for the Silverstone sprint race, besting Kimi Antonelli to the top spot.
The duo entered the sprint qualifying session looking as though they would be favourites for the pole fight following a strong FP1 outing.
Antonelli set a 1:28.387 in the final stages of SQ3, before Hamilton went 0.011s faster just moments later.
Max Verstappen was third on the road in the leading Red Bull, while Charles Leclerc was fourth in the second Ferrari - well over three-tenths down on his team-mate.
George Russell was fifth for Mercedes, while Lando Norris once again outpaced team-mate Oscar Piastri.
