Isack Hadjar has ended the first morning of the Barcelona pre-season shakedown on top of the timesheets.
The Frenchman clocked a 1:18.835 to put a strong gap of over one-and-a-half seconds over the rest of the field.
Of course, at such an early stage of the season, lap times do not count for much as teams will spend this test collecting initial data on their cars, which have been built under a fresh set of technical regulations.
Two red flags were deployed during the session after Franco Colapinto and Gabriel Bortoleto stopped on track with seperate issues.
The morning also saw the debut of Cadillac with Valtteri Bottas behind the wheel of the challenger.
