Home hero Oscar Piastri topped the timesheets at the end of the opening day of the Australian Grand Prix.
The Australian set the pace in second practice at Melbourne's Albert Park after posting a 1:19.729, just over two-tenths clear of Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli.
It was a Silver Arrows two-three, with George Russell in third, ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, who completed the top five.
Max Verstappen and reigning world champion Lando Norris were sixth and seventh fastest, while Cadillac's Sergio Perez failed to complete a timed lap.
