Former F1 driver Jack Aitken secured the #31 Cadillac Whelan outfit pole position for the 2026 Daytona 24 Hours.
Aitken posted a 1m 33.939 in GTP qualifying to snatch pole, just 0.102s ahead of the #93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian squad. The Porsche and BMW cars offered little threat to pole.
As for LMP2, the #43 Inter Europol Competition outfit secured class pole and will be joined on the front row by the #99 AO Racing.
In the top GT class, GTD Pro, Alexander Sims put the #3 Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports on class pole, ahead of the #1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 Evo.
Finally, in the GTD class, the #37 Heart of Racing Team outfit secured class pole with its Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, courtesy of a 1m 45.113 lap, just 0.006s slower than the fastest GTD Pro lap time.
