Arvid Lindblad secured pole position for the F2 feature race on Sunday at the Spanish Grand Prix, with a lap time of 1:25.180.

Sebastian Montoya qualified second at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, +0.245 slower than the Red Bull junior driver.

Kush Maini completed the top three, whilst Roman Stanek and Alex Dunne rounded out the top five.

Richard Verschoor, Jak Crawford, Luke Browning, Joshua Durksen, and Leonardo Fornaroli, took positions six through 10. The lattermost two drivers will therefore occupy the front row during the reverse grid sprint on Saturday.

It was an unusual 30-minute session in Barcelona, with two packs forming to initially set their laps in alternation, almost akin to the deliberate Group A and B approach employed in Monaco.

Dunne earned himself a three-place grid penalty for both races after he ran into the back of Victor Martins at pit entry during practice.

That is the Irish driver's second incident with the Williams junior in the last two weekends, after the Dunne caused a first lap pile-up in Monaco.

That crash earned Dunne a 10-place grid drop for the sprint in Spain, so he will start 13 positions back during the shorter race, in P18.
