Oscar Piastri was third fastest at the Yas Marina Circuit, as the three F1 drivers' championship protagonists locked out the top three.
George Russell and Charles Leclerc rounded out the top five under the lights of the F1 season finale.
Lewis Hamilton was consigned to his third straight Q1 exit and will line up for the 58-lap race in P16.
Yuki Tsunoda reached Q3 on his final race weekend for the foreseeable future, but may have been fortunate not to have his final effort in Q2 deleted for track limits.
