2024 Hungarian Grand Prix - F2 Sprint Race results

Richard Verschoor won a thrilling F2 sprint at the Hungarian Grand Prix as tyre strategy dominated.

The field were split between going for the soft or hard Pirelli tyres for the 28 lap race, with Verschoor and Kush Miani opting for the hard compared to the softs on Andrea Kimi Antonelli's Prema.

Antonelli lead the opening laps, but suffering huge multiple lock-ups and was forced to bail from the strategy, finishing 15th after a pit-stop for hards.

Verschoor comfortably held off Maini to become the 14th different winner of the year with Victor Martins completing the podium. 

Championship leader Isack Hadjar was fourth, with rival Paul Aron again not scoring, for a thirs straight race, although he does have feature race pole.

Ollie Bearman was involved in a hairy moment late on with Jak Crawford and Juan Manuel Correa at Turn 3 as the trio went side-by-side-by-side, all emerging unscathed.

It was not for points as Correa took ninth, Crawford 10th and Bearman 11th.
