Max Verstappen will start the sprint race at the Circuit of the Americas from pole position, courtesy of a 1:32.833.
The Dutchman secured sprint pole by 0.012s, with George Russell joining him on the front row. Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris had to settle for third and fourth and form the second row.
Carlos Sainz completed the top-five, whilst Lewis Hamilton could only salvage seventh after a disappointing lap.
In a huge shock, Oscar Piastri was eliminated in the first part of sprint qualifying and will start from P16, whilst Sergio Perez will start 11th after being knocked out in the second part.
