Lando Norris claimed pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix, courtesy of setting a 1:29.525.
The Briton set his time good enough for pole on his only Q3 hot lap and will be joined on the front row by title rival Max Verstappen.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell locked out the second row in third and fourth, whilst Norris' team-mate Oscar Piastri will start in P5. Charles Leclerc's lap was deleted, demoting him to ninth.
Q3 became more hectic than usual as a result of a crash for Carlos Sainz at the final corner, causing a red flag with eight minutes remaining.
Sergio Perez was the only big name not to make it into Q3, with the Mexican driver having qualified in only 13th.
