Max Verstappen topped the only practice session for the Miami Grand Prix, courtesy of a 1:28.595.
The Dutchman saved his best till the dying seconds of first practice, to snatch top spot ahead of Oscar Piastri.
Piastri was just over a tenth of a second slower than Verstappen in his heavily upgraded McLaren, whilst Carlos Sainz completed the top three. George Russell was fourth ahead of Lance Stroll in fifth.
Charles Leclerc missed the majority of the session after spinning in the opening 10 minutes of the session at the Miami International Autodrome. His spin caused a six-minute red flag.
