Pierre Gasly topped the wet and severely reduced final practice session at Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix.
The Alpine driver led Kevin Magnussen and Valtteri Bottas, as the vast majority of the hour was lost due to a Logan Sargeant-induced red flag.
Heading out of Turn 3 and into the Turn 4 and 5 sweep, the American put his right front tyre on the grass, causing his Williams to spin and hit the outside wall.
The FW46 slid back into the middle of the circuit and promptly caught fire. However, the 24-year-old was quickly out the car, but will likely miss qualifying.
The session only resumed with a couple of minutes to go, with many of the fastest runners unable to get a representative time in.
