George Russell secured pole position for the 2024 F1 Canadian Grand Prix after setting a 1:12.000.
He will be joined on the front row by Max Verstappen, who set the exactly the same time as the Mercedes driver but crucially after Russell had set it.
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri locked out the second row, with Daniel Ricciardo in fifth. Lewis Hamilton could only manage seventh.
Elsewhere, both Ferrari drivers were eliminated in Q2, whilst Sergio Perez was knocked out in Q1.
