However, due to a 10-place grid penalty for the Dutchman, Charles Leclerc will start on pole position after setting the second-fastest lap time of the session.
Sergio Perez will start alongside the Monegasque driver on the front row, with Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris taking the next two spots.
