Max Verstappen has ended the opening practice session ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix as he aims to bounce back from a difficult round in Hungary last weekend.
Oscar Piastri, who enters his first F1 event as a grand prix winner, followed the Dutchman in second place but was over half a second down.
Alex Albon was third for Williams, leading the Mercedes duo of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.
It was a disastrous session for Esteban Ocon, who failed to log a lap time after being hit with a water leak.
