Max Verstappen topped a heavily delayed first practice session ahead of this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The three-time world champion set a 1:45.546 on a set of soft tyres, putting him 0.313s ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
Three red flags resulted in 21 minutes of running being lost, with the first red flag having been caused by debris on the Baku City Circuit.
Charles Leclerc and Franco Colapinto crashing triggered the second and third red flags, respectively.
Sergio Perez was just under two tenths adrift in third, with Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz completing the top five.
