Charles Leclerc topped the first free practice session for the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, beating Lando Norris by just over two-tenths of a second.
Mercedes driver - for the last time - Lewis Hamilton completed the top three at the Yas Marina Circuit.
George Russell and Pierre Gasly were fourth and fifth-fastest, respectively.
Nico Hulkenberg, Franco Colapinto, Kevin Magnussen, Felipe Drugovich and Sergio Perez rounded out the top 10.
The Aston Martin driver was the quickest rookie, beating team-mate for the hour Fernando Alonso during soft tyre runs.
