McLaren's Lando Norris claimed pole position for the Russian Grand Prix, beating Carlos Sainz and George Russell to top spot.
qualifying">Despite fears the session could be moved to Sunday, qualifying took place as scheduled as the rain eased up. Norris' time of 1:41.993 on his final lap proved too much for the rest of the grid, with Sainz finishing a full 0.517 seconds back.
Russell clocked the third-fastest time, while Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo rounded out the top five positions.
