Yuki Tsunoda has suffered his latest setback behind the wheel at Red Bull after finding himself eliminated at the end of Q1.
Tsunoda has struggled to extract speed since joining the Milton Keynes-based squad at the start of the year.
It marks the second time in three races that Tsunoda has failed to progress out of the first qualifying segment.
Tsunoda ended the session in 18th place, with his effort two and a half tenths slower than team-mate Max Verstappen.
“Mate, I didn't have any grip bro,” Tsunoda exclaimed over team radio after his elimination.
Joining Tsunoda in the Q1 dropzone were Lance Stroll, Esteban Ocon, Carlos Sainz and Nico Hulkenberg.
