Toto Wolff has called on Formula 1 to learn from the ongoing internal investigation into Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner.

Horner is currently subject to an investigation by parent company Red Bull GmbH after a female member of staff complained of inappropriate behaviour by the Red Bull boss.

He has not been suspended from his position, and oversaw the launch of the RB20, as well as being on-site in Bahrain for the start of pre-season testing.

Horner denies all allegations against him.

Red Bull GmbH hired an external specialist barrister to interview Horner regarding the allegations, with a report being submitted before a final decision over Horner's future is made.

There is no timeline on the investigation concluding, with Mercedes boss Wolff the only Team Principal to address the investigation when invited to do so in Bahrain.

"I think that Formula 1 and the teams stand for inclusion, equality, fairness and diversity," Wolff told media including RacingNews365.

"It is not about talking about it, but living it day in, day out and these are the standards that we're setting ourselves to live in.

"We are a global sport and one of the most important sports platforms in the world and are role models, but having said that there is a lot of speculation happening over the past few weeks.

"What is most important at this stage of the process that Red Bull has started an internal investigation is [completed] in the right way with transparency.

"It is something we need to work on, what the outcomes are, and what it means from Formula 1 and how we can learn from that.

"We want to talk about racing cars and the sport rather than these kind of very critical topics that are more than just a team's issue.

"It is an issue for all of Formula 1 and for every individual that works out there."
