The Formula 1 season begins in Bahrain this weekend with Mercedes boss Toto Wolff raising a few eyebrows by stating the team may have something innovative to show. Mercedes are no strangers when it comes to attracting attention as the DAS system did just that last season. Wolff wouldn't rule out another eye-catching system ahead of the start of the new season. "You haven't even seen what we're going to put on the car yet," Wolff told Canal+. "Of course, there is room for innovation and that always made me happy. Every year we try to do something that is a little bit boxy. I'm not sure it makes a big difference in terms of the performance of the car. It's beautiful if it works." Mercedes won't be able to count on the DAS system they introduced last season as it's been banned for the 2021 campaign.
