Lewis Hamilton shocked F1 by announcing a move to Ferrari for next season, bringing an end to a career-long association with Mercedes at the end of the upcoming campaign. Alonso's name has been mentioned as a strong candidate to replace his former McLaren teammate, though he downplayed any talks with the Silver Arrows when speaking at Aston Martin's season launch.
