Aston Martin has one of the most unevenly-weighted driver line-ups in F1 with Fernando Alonso comfortably enjoying the upper hand over Lance Stroll. Nonetheless, amid heavy speculation to the contrary, the Silverstone squad has confirmed its existing pair will continue racing for the team until at least the end of the 2026 F1 season. Max Verstappen pursuit rumours - which have been categorically denied - aside, the imbalance in its driver partnership remains a considerable pain point. Over the past two seasons, through overall team performance that has ebbed and flowed, Stroll has accounted for a little over a quarter of Aston Martin's overall points. It is in stark disparity to the haul Alonso has procured, and the Canadian will be looking to significantly reduce the gap over the season to come.
