Max Verstappen isn't sure where Sergio Perez stacks up compared to his past F1 teammates, but the Dutchman is hoping their partnership continues to deliver results in 2021. Red Bull currently lead the F1 Constructors' Championship over rivals McLaren, with Perez's addition a big reason why as the team are finally getting consistent points from their second car. When asked if Perez is the most complete teammate he's had while at Red Bull, Verstappen admitted it was difficult for him to compare as he's had great relationships with every driver he's been paired with. "I don't know," Verstappen told Sky Sport. "I think Daniel [Ricciardo], he was really good. Of course back then I was a bit younger and a bit more inexperienced so it's difficult to compare the two. "I find it very difficult to always talk about that because I had a great relationship with Pierre [Gasly], I had a great relationship with Alex [Albon]. They were great drivers as well. "I have a good relationship with Checo and it's going really well. We are leading the Constructors' [Championship] and I hope we can keep that up." Gasly's time as Verstappen's teammate was cut short after just 12 races in 2019 as Red Bull opted to send him back to Toro Rosso, now AlphaTauri. Verstappen is pleased that the Frenchman seems to have found a home with the Italian outfit. "He feels really good in the AlphaTauri car and it's great to see him qualifying in fifth, sixth and getting good results," Verstappen added. "Even the win last year. I'm very happy for him."
