Max Verstappen has expressed on several occasions his interest in competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which takes place this weekend at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
The four-time world champion is known to not see F1 as the only world championship he will compete in, and has recently obtained a 'platinum' driver rating from the FIA.
This opens the door to the Dutchman to compete in sports cars, and was recently seen completing a private test in a Ferrari GT3 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Verstappen has even gone as far as revealing that he would like to compete in Le Mans alongside Fernando Alonso and Nyck de Vries – the former is in the event with Toyota.
Unfortunately, Le Mans clashes with the Canadian Grand Prix, making an appearance impossible for Verstappen this year.
F1's intense schedule makes it difficult for a Le Mans debut to be made before Verstappen quits the series, something which is unlikely to happen before his Red Bull deal expires in 2028.
However, should Le Mans and F1 not clash in the upcoming years, the door could open to a highly-anticipated appearance for the 27-year-old.
