Following the recent unveiling of its new team identity, Visa Cash App RB has now announced the signing of three key personnel ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 season.

Tim Goss has been appointed as the squad's Chief Technical Officer having most recently been the Technical Director of the FIA, F1's governing body.

Goss is known for his long tenure spent at the McLaren F1 team where he held several senior roles in across almost three decades.

“I am delighted to join Visa Cash App RB at the start of its new era of competition,” Goss said.

“It’s a team with great pride and heritage, with some exceptional people already in place, and I’m looking forward to working with Team Principal Laurent Mekies and alongside Technical Director Jody Egginton.

“There’s an exciting challenge ahead of us but I think the team is well-equipped to meet that head on.”

Goss will officially start his position in October of this year.

Additionally, the Red Bull sister squad has signed Alan Permane to the role of Sporting Director.

Permane was long part of the Enstone-based team that currently operates as Alpine before his departure was announced midway through last year's F1 campaign.

“After a few months of downtime, it’s great to return to racing again with the Visa Cash App RB team” Permane commented.

“From long experience, I know how professional, driven and competitive the people within this race team are and I can’t wait to see where that spirit can take the team in the future.”

Finally, Guillaume Cattelani has joined team as Deputy Technical Director and will report to Technical Director Jody Egginton.

“It’s fantastic to have this opportunity to take the Visa Cash App RB team to the next level of competitiveness,” said Cattelani.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Jody and all of the other members of the technical team to create machinery that drives the team forward and takes us towards the front of the grid.”

Both Permane and Cattelani will commence their new roles immediately.
