F1 has held talks in South Africa in the hope of striking a deal to hold a race at Kyalami, as RacingNews365.com revealed . Stefano Domenicali was in South Africa on Monday, where he met with Toby Venter – whose family trust owns the Kyalami Circuit – and Warren Scheckter, nephew of Ferrari's 1979 World Champion Jody and CEO of the SA Grand Prix Corporation. He also met with South African politicians and government ministers after seven years spent pushing to revive the event, last held in 1993.
