Vettel's Hungarian GP podium finish under threat

There was no shortage of drama the Hungarian GP and it hasn't stopped after the chequered flag. Sebastian Vettel's second place finish is now in doubt.

After a close battle with eventual race winner Esteban Ocon, Sebastian Vettel's second place finish at the Hungarian GP has been thrown into doubt as he as been referred to the stewards. FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer confirmed they were only able to remove 300ml of fuel from the German's Aston Martin, and as a result he has been referred to the stewards. "After the race it was checked on car number 05 whether a 1.0 litre sample of fuel could be taken from the car," read a statement from the FIA. "It was possible to take only a 0.3 litre sample following the procedures layed out in Article 6.6.4 of the 2021 Formula One Technical Regulations." Vettel stopped his car on track after crossing the finish line before returning to the pits on foot.
