Vettel summoned by stewards following qualifying

Saturday was a day to forget for Sebastian Vettel as the Aston Martin driver qualified 18th for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Things could get worse as the German has been summoned by the stewards.

Sebastian Vettel's weekend isn't going to plan with news that German has been asked to report to the stewards ahead of Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix. The Aston Martin driver will start 18th after being caught out by waved yellow flags, resulting in him being eliminated from qualifying during Q1. However it looks like there is more to it as Vettel has been summoned by the stewards after allegedly not respecting the double-yellow flags waved at turn 1 following Nikita Mazepin's spin. The Russian and teammate Mick Schumacher were the only two drivers to qualify behind Vettel.
