Vettel names first Aston Martin car after Bond girl

Having named all of his cars while with Red Bull and Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel has continued that tradition ahead of his maiden F1 campaign with Aston Martin.

Sebatian Vettel has finally given a name to the AMR21 he'll be driving for Aston Martin this season, settling on the first Bond girl, Honey Rider. It's become a tradition of sorts for the German, who named all of his cars while with Red Bull and Ferrari. Now with a new team, Vettel has made use of the link between Aston Martin and James Bond in choosing the name of his car for 2021. Vettel has settled on the name Honey Rider, the name of the Bond girl from the first movie in the series Dr.No played by Ursula Andress. The move comes as no surprise as Vettel stated Dr. No is his favourite movie from the series. "Favourite Bond? I think Sean Connery, and to be fair Pierce Brosnan," Vettel told RacingNews365.com and other members of the media. "That's my youth. "And which movie? I quite like the first one that kicked it off, obviously because of Honey Rider."
