Despite a strong start to the 2021 F1 season, Max Verstappen is hoping for a change in fortunes this weekend at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix after failing to get the better of Lewis Hamilton in Bahrain. The Dutchman was the fastest driver across all session leading up to the race at the Bahrain International circuit. However in the end it wasn't enough to get the better of the Mercedes man. Verstappen is keen to change that at Imola. "Hopefully the roles have been reversed this weekend," Verstappen told RacingNews365.com and other members of the media. "It was a positive weekend for us, but it was disappointing not to win the race. However, I am looking forward to the remaining 22 races." Given Red Bull's pace so far, Verstappen is confident he'll be able to battle with Mercedes and Hamilton this weekend. "Our car seems to be very competitive," Verstappen stated. "Of course the conditions here are very different. Last year we were very competitive here and it is a great track to drive. I see no reason why it will be any different now. "It makes everything a lot easier. I am very happy with that, but it is not Bahrain here. Let's see how competitive we are here."
