Max Verstappen's first race of the 2023 season will be with Team Redline, as he tackles the Virtual Le Mans 24 Hours.
The esports race is the virtual counterpart of the famous 24 hour event, which normally takes place in June.
This year marks one of the biggest yet for the Le Mans Virtual series, with a $250,000 prize pot for the 24 hour event taking place between January 14th and 15th.
Now, two-time F1 World Champion Verstappen returns to the race after taking pole by 0.002s in 2022, only to crash out dramatically while leading seven hours in the event.

Although champagne has not been exclusively used on the podium, with F1 recently moving back to using sparkling wine, it forms a key part of post-race celebrations.
