Max Verstappen has kept the possibility open of competing in the virtual Spa 24 Hours during the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend.

The iRacing event is taking place over the Hungaroring weekend, with Verstappen often competing in the sim races during F1 weekends, including at Imola.

His Team Redline squad will likely be driving a Ferrari 296 GT3 in the GT3 class, with the three-time world champion keeping his options open.

"I have been driving, but I haven't decided yet," he told media including RacingNews365 when asked if he would race at the virtual Spa.

"If I will drive or not, it depends on how much time I will have, it is just very busy this weekend in Budapest."

Verstappen also confirmed that he does have his sim rig with him in Hungary "just in case" he decides to race.
