Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who many consider as one of the most naturally gifted drivers ever to grace the sport, has lavished praise on his fellow compeitior Lewis Hamilton, saying the Englishman is not only one of the best drivers on the grid but one of the best drivers of all time. If the Bahrain Grand Prix was any evidence then it is clear that both Verstappen and Hamilton are a cut above the other drivers on the grid. The talanted Dutchman has ecohed those sentiments citing several of Hamilton's acomplishments as evidence that he is by far the Red Bull's man hardest adversary. "You should definitely give Lewis the credit," Verstappen told Motorsport.com's Dutch site. "The way he's driven all these years, to keep coming back and winning that number of races and championships. You can't ignore Lewis in that regard. "Of course there are a lot of other people in Formula 1 who are really good, are very strong and who would also get by in that car. But the way in which Lewis has won and sometimes also wins the tough races, such as his victory in Turkey last year, he does superbly. So yes, he is one of the best drivers ever in Formula 1." Verstappen also added that while he does pay attention to certain elements of Hamilton's driving, he is primarily concerned with himself. "I first look at what I could have done better myself, what I can do differently after every race," Verstappen explained. "I look at what others are doing and analyze that too, but I am not one to copy that. I remain myself. In principle, if you copy from others, you always support it because you do not innovate and you cannot benefit from it. "Of course you have to watch it, you have to observe. But I will always be myself and do the things that work best for me." The 2021 season could represent a very significant season in Formula 1. If Verstappen is able to dethrone Hamilton, in turn becoming the first non Mercedes driver to win a title since 2014, it would represent a changing of the guard, with the Red Bull becoming the first of F1's newest generation to fulfill his potential.
