Verstappen confident in Red Bull's new car

Red Bull Racing's lead driver Max Verstappen has said the team's 2021 F1 car is a significant improvement from the team's 2020 efforts.

Max Verstappen has said he feels supremely confident in Red Bull's RB16B, with the Dutchman stating that the car has improved in every single area when compared to RB16. The Red Bull Formula 1 team have gotten off to a strong start, with their performance during the ongoing pre-season test drawing praise from Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton . The Austrian team's lead driver Max Verstappen says the car is much stronger overall than its predecessor. "I think we improved the car a lot during the season last year," Verstappen told RacingNews365.com among others "This year the floor is very different from last year (due to the new regulations). This makes the car feel different, but the rear is stable." "You always want to improve the car in all areas and we do not look specifically at one area." The Dutchman is also happy with the amount of testing milage he has been able to accumulate saying the data will be important for the engineers to optimize the car for the first round. "The most important thing is that we manage to do a lot of laps, in order to get to know the car well and also try new things on the car to see if it responds as we hoped," Verstappen continued. "We did many laps without any problems and hopefully we can continue on this road. We will see in Q3 the first race where we really stand." Things look promising for Red Bull as they have topped two out of the five sessions that have been currently conducted over the past two days.
