Verstappen confirms where he will drive in 2025

Max Verstappen has confirmed where he will race in the 2025 Formula 1 season after doubts about his future. 

The possibility of Verstappen leaving Red Bull grew in the early part of the season as tensions rose within the team in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia against the backdrop of the investigation into team principal Christian Horner.

Alpine confirms first 2025 F1 driver as Gasly learns fate

Pierre Gasly has signed a new contract extension at Alpine to keep him at the team beyond 2025 on a "multi-year deal."

The Frenchman joined what is now RB ahead of the 2023 season, and banked one podium, in the Dutch Grand Prix, during his maiden season with the team, although '24 has proved more of a struggle for the team.

Aston Martin announces second 2025 F1 driver

Aston Martin has announced that Lance Stroll will continue alongside Fernando Alonso in 2025 and beyond, as was widely expected. 

Alonso committed to the team on a two-year deal in April, with no official confirmation that Stroll - the son of team owner Lawrence - would continue to race for the Silverstone team, although a change was not viewed as a realistic possibility.

F1 fans deliver bad news for Ricciardo ahead of landmark Grand Prix

Formula 1 fans have delivered bad news to Daniel Ricciardo ahead of his landmark 250th race at the Austrian Grand Prix. 

Ricciardo is to become the 12th F1 driver in history to rack up 250 starts if he takes to the starting grid at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday, but his long-term future is in doubt as RB team-mate Yuki Tsunoda out-performs him with Liam Lawson waiting in the wings as well.

Magnussen prepared to walk away from 'empty' F1

Kevin Magnussen is at peace with the idea of walking away from "empty" Formula 1, despite being an "active participant" in driver silly season. 

The Haas driver is one of a number of midfield drivers trying to secure a seat for 2025, with just six seats left available now Alpine and Aston Martin confirmed Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll, respectively on Thursday of the Austrian Grand Prix.

Ricciardo issues 'no fear' response to Marko claim

Daniel Ricciardo insists he is not living with the "fear" of potentially losing his F1 seat at RB following recent comments from Helmut Marko. 

Red Bull motorsport advisor Marko suggested ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix - Ricciardo's 250th in F1 - that RB reserve driver Liam Lawson would be promoted into the seat alongside Yuki Tsunoda, possibly ending Ricciardo's career.
