Verstappen cleared and released from hospital

After his huge crash at the opening lap of the British GP, Max Verstappen was taken to a local hospital for further tests. The Dutchman underwent tests but passed them, allowing him to leave late Sunday evening.

Max Verstappen was in good spirits Sunday night after letting fans know he had been released from hospital after all his tests came back ok. The Dutchman was sent crashing into the barriers at Copse corner at close to 300km/h, resulting in a 51G impact. Although Max was able to get out of his Red Bull largely unscathed, his team did release a statement after the race stating he had been taken to a local hospital for further precautionary tests. "Cleared from the hospital after all the checks were ok," read a post on Verstappen's Twitter account that features Max smiling alongside father Jos. "Thank you to everyone for all the nice messages and best wishes."
