Two drivers to start Austrian GP from pit lane

Changes to the cars of Kevin Magnussen and Nyck de Vries during parc ferme conditions will see the pair start the Austrian Grand Prix from the pit lane.

Kevin Magnussen and Nyck de Vries will start Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix from the pit lane, after changes were made to their cars during parc ferme conditions. Setup parameter changes were made to Magnussen's Haas, while de Vries' AlphaTauri has been fitted with a third Energy Store and Control Electronics - with both units exceeding the season's permitted allowance of two. AlphaTauri also replaced de Vries' rear wing and beam wing and made adjustments to the AT04's suspension. Magnussen and de Vries had been scheduled to start on the back row of the grid for Sunday's race, in 19th and 20th places respectively.
