McLaren's Oscar Piastri and Stake F1's Valtteri Bottas will appear before the stewards for their coming together towards the end of the first sprint qualifying session at the Miami Grand Prix.

After completing his push lap, Bottas was coasting into Turn 1 when he drifted into the path of Piastri, who looked to be starting a hot lap.

The pair came together momentarily, with the front right tyre of Bottas appearing to hit the side of the McLaren.

The two drivers are set to visit the stewards at 17:50 local time.

Bottas ultimately went out in SQ1 and will start P18, whilst Piastri got through to SQ3. He will line up sixth for the sprint.
