Yuki Tsunoda has expressed relief his F1 future has been resolved so early in the season.
After just eight grands prix of the current campaign, RB has made the swift decision to re-sign Tsunoda, albeit only on a one-year deal through to the end of next season.
Neverthless, even though 2025 will be Tsunoda's fifth season with the Faenza-based squad, he is delighted to have made such an impression on team principal Laurent Mekies and CEO Peter Bayer that they have swiftly acted to offer him a new contract.
The news comes just days after Tsunoda missed out on his ambition of driving for Red Bull after the constructors champions chose to keep faith with Sergio Perez for the next two years.
Despite that, a delighted Tsunoda said: "I’m very happy to be staying with Visa Cash App RB and it’s a good feeling to have my future decided so early in the year.
"For that, I want to thank everyone at Red Bull and Honda who have played such an important role in my career and will continue to do so."

"It’s great to know that everyone appreciates all the hard work I have put in and that the team believes I can help it move further up the grid.
