The 2023 Formula 1 season was another promising year for Yuki Tsunoda.
Although it started off with him in one of the slowest cars on the grid, AlphaTauri gradually managed to turn things around to produce a points-scoring car at the end of the season.
Tsunoda finished 14th in the Drivers' Championship, an improvement on his 17th place from 2022.
In conversation with the Japanese branch of Motorsport, Tsunoda rates his season: "Last year I already took an important step in discovering what I am worth as a driver.
"Next season, I think the car will be better than last year, which will give us more chances to compete in the top ten."

Questions have been posed over his future with Red Bull, with Tsunoda himself admitting to RacingNews365 that he is not just looking at the team for his future.
He has also been linked to Aston Martin, as Honda will start working there from 2026.
"This will be the year when I show that I have everything in me to be a top F1 driver. To make that happen, I will have to go all out and I need to be able to call on everyone's support," said Tsunoda.
"So thank you to everyone who has already supported me last year and thank you also to everyone who will support me next season."
