AlphaTauri's Yuki Tsunoda has brought out the red flags at Imola, crashing his AlphaTauri early in Q1. The Japanese driver lost control of the rear of his AT02 as he negotiated the chicane at Variante Alta, and went off backwards into the barrier. There is significant damage to the car, meaning he's likely to require a new gearbox and, possibly a new chassis. Tsunoda was uninjured and clambered out after confirming he was OK with the team, while the red flags were shown to recover the damaged AlphaTauri.
