These two team names will be used by Stake F1 Team in 2024

It won't be long before the Sauber name disappears from Formula 1 for good as Audi will take over the Swiss-based F1 team in 2026. After the departure of Alfa Romeo as team name sponsor, a temporary name will be seen. However, it will not be the same during every Grand Prix in 2024.

On January 1, the former Alfa Romeo F1 team presented its new team name via a recorded audio file by rapper Drake - in 2024, the team will go through life as Stake F1 Team.

However, Stake is a gambling sponsor and so the Australian company's name and sponsorship promotions may not recur in every country. Therefore, the team will work under a different team name during some races this year.

During events where the team is not allowed to be called Stake F1 Team or display Stake's sponsor messages, the team will operate as Kick F1 Team. The team is doing so for two reasons.

First, this way the team and sponsor have found a solution to the problem that arises with gambling sponsorship in some countries. In addition, they also want to put Kick more in the spotlight, as they already did last year during some races.

The owners of Stake are also the owners of the streaming platform Kick and as a result, there was no need to make a new deal with a new party for several races in 2024.

Earlier, the FIA announced on the official 'entry list' of 2024 that the chassis name of the team will be 'Kick Sauber'.

Their cooperation with the team and sponsorship in Formula 1 has made the brands so enthusiastic that they have entered into a larger partnership for this year.

It is believed in the paddock that this is even the biggest sponsorship deal in the history of the original Sauber team.

It sparks good news for the team's managing director, Alessandro Bravi, who can thus focus optimally over the next two years on the team's transfer to Audi in 2026.
