Susie Wolff is a former professional racing driver. She began competing in karting at the early age of eight and immediately made an impression. In 1996, she was named the British Woman Kart Racing Driver of the Year. Later, she competed in Formula Renault, Formula Three, and DTM. Additionally, she served as a development driver for the Williams Formula One team from 2012 to 2015.

On 1 March 2023, Susie Wolff was appointed as the Managing Director of the F1 Academy. This is a newly launched all-female racing series, introduced in 2023. In 2024, the second season will take place, with most female drivers representing Formula One teams.

Susie Wolff FIA allegations drama

End of 2023, it was reported by Business F1 Magazine that Susie and Toto Wolff had exchanged confidential information. Several team principals complained about this development, prompting an investigation by the FIA.

Subsequently, statements were posted online by all Formula 1 teams, each stating that they had not complained about this exchange of confidential information. Two days after these statements, the FIA confirmed that they would not initiate a formal investigation into Susie Wolff.

Wolff claims that her reputation has been damaged by this incident and she still has not received any apologies from the FIA. On March 4, 2024, she filed a lawsuit with the French court and will take further legal action. This is partly because she has not seen any form of transparency or accountability from the FIA.

The first woman driver to participate in F1 since 1992
