Swiss racing driver Laura Villars has become the first woman to run for FIA president, becoming the third candidate to declare.

Villars, 28, has joined incumbent president Mohammed Ben Sulayem and former F1 steward Tim Mayer in seeking the next term of office, with the election due to be held in December 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Kimi Antonelli makes F1 vow after stinging Toto Wolff criticism

Kimi Antonelli has vowed to use Toto Wolff's first public criticism as "fuel" after his Italian GP was labelled "underwhelming."

Although Antonelli started sixth on the Monza grid, a poor start dropped him to 10th, with the rookie only climbing to ninth by the flag after Fernando Alonso's retirement after a penalty was applied, dropping him from eighth.

Charles Leclerc offers Ferrari slim Baku victory hope: 'I remain convinced'

Charles Leclerc has offered Ferrari a slim glimmer of hope that it can compete for victory in this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with the driver "convinced" it is possible.

Since 2021, Leclerc has been unstoppable at the Baku City Circuit over a single lap, claiming four consecutive pole positions.

Max Verstappen identifies major F1 problem with 24 Hours dream

Max Verstappen believes the intense schedule of the early 2026 F1 season could derail his bid to compete in the Nurburgring 24 Hours.

Last weekend, the Dutchman obtained his licence to race at the Nordschleife, permitting him to potentially enter the twice-around-the-clock endurance race in May 2026.

Fernando Alonso rues 'one in 10 million' failure after freak incident

Fernando Alonso has rued the "one in 10 million" suspension failure which eliminated him from the Italian Grand Prix.

Having pitted from a points position, Alonso emerged ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto in the lower reaches of the midfield whilst other drivers were yet to stop, but on lap 24, he suffered a right-front suspension failure.
