Lance Stroll has been summoned by the Formula 1 Stewards in Las Vegas for an alleged overtake under yellow flag conditions.
Towards the end of the final practice session, Williams' Alexander Albon came to a halt on the track after hitting the wall.
His stoppage originally caused a yellow flag which then turned into a red flag to clear the car.
The Stewards allege that while the section of track was under yellow flag conditions, Stroll overtook a rival car - a move that is prohibited by F1's regulations.
Stroll ended the session in 13th place and will face the stewards at 23:15 local time, 45 minutes before qualifying gets underway.
