Stroll confirms Canadian wildfire auction

The Aston Martin driver will auction his special edition race kit from his home race to raise support for the Canadian Red Cross.

Lance Stroll has revealed a special edition crash helmet, boots and gloves for the Canadian Grand Prix, which will be auctioned after the race to raise funds for the Canadian Red Cross. Quebec and Canada have been hit by wildfires since the start of June, leaving approximately 12 million acres and over 100,000 people affected. The impact of the fires has spread across 11 provinces and territories and is the worst wildfire season in recorded Canadian history, with the skies of New York in the United States turned into an apocalyptic horizon as a consequence. Ahead of his home race, Stroll took to social media to reveal his new white and red kit as well as confirming an auction would subsequently take place. "We've all seen how bad the wildfires across Quebex and Canada have been since the beginning of June. "I have decided to auction my special edition helmet and race kit from the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix in order to raise money and awareness for those affected by the fires. "I'd like to thank everyone who is helping, including the emergency services, the armed forces and all the volunteers."
