Lando Norris has ended the opening day of pre-season testing on top of the timesheet, setting a 1:30.340 for McLaren.

It marked a positive start for McLaren who enters the year looking to defend its constructors' championship win from last year.

Red Bull accidentally show operation of new F1 flexi-wing

One of the major F1 talking points heading into pre-season testing was the development of the flexi-wing saga and the FIA's move to outlaw them - or reduce their effect.

Changes to rear wings have been implemented instantly, but teams have until round nine, the Spanish Grand Prix, to alter their front wings.

The 'striking' secrets of the Mercedes W16 revealed

The first look at the Mercedes W16 reveals some striking elements to the Brackley-based squad's car concept at the start of the 2025 F1 season.

In particular, it looks clear the sidepod undercut has been pushed to the extremes; the cooling inlets are placed in two different planes.

Verstappen sends F1 rivals ominous message after uncovering 'good surprises'

Max Verstappen has stated Red Bull only encountered “good surprises” during the opening day of pre-season testing from Bahrain.

Verstappen ended the session in third place, behind pace-setter Lando Norris and the Mercedes of George Russell.

Major Monaco GP rule change officially approved

The World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) has formally approved plans for the Monaco Grand Prix to be a mandatory two-stop race.

News of the proposal emerged in the run up to F1 75 Live last week. The iconic race has been under pressure for some time due to the quality of the Sunday track action there.

How many laps did every team set during Day 1 of Bahrain testing?

The opening day of pre-season testing from Bahrain saw strong reliability from all teams, with the biggest gremlins coming from the circuit and its power outage.

The teams conducted their runs plans as they prepare for the new season, with Wednesday marking the first of three days of testing held at the Bahrain International Circuit.
