Stewards defend Verstappen penalty

Max Verstappen's swearing punishment of community service has been defended by one of the FIA stewards involved in the process.

Johnny Herbert has discussed why he felt the penalty was proportionate and just.

Norris's 'howler of a mistake'

Lando Norris finds himself 52 points behind Verstappen with 180 left on the board over the fina six rounds, including three sprints. 

But the British driver has been criticised for a "howler of a mistake" by one of the 10 Britons he hopes to follow in becoming F1 world champion.

Ricciardo offered US GP 'opportunity'

He might be out of F1 in terms of a race seat, but Daniel Ricciardo has been offered an 'opportunity' to be part of the United States Grand Prix.

The only catch is, it might not be the opportunity Ricciardo wants...

Renault criticism

Renault confirmed earlier this week its intention to shut down production of its in-house F1 power unit from 2026, meaning Alpine will revert to customer status. 

A poor season on-track has Alpine in ninth in the F1 constructors' championship, with Renault boss Luca de Meo delivering some choice words.
