The Stake F1 team has confirmed Gabriel Bortoleto will join the squad for the 2025 season.

The Brazilian, who is a member of the McLaren Driver Development Programme, steps in to complete an all-new driver line-up for the team as Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu make way.

Mercedes respond to remarkable Hamilton rumour

Rumours of an earlier-than-planned departure from Mercedes by Lewis Hamilton were sparked by a cryptic radio message from the seven-time F1 champion in the immediate aftermath of Sunday's São Paulo Grand Prix.

The weekend at Interlagos proved to be a wretched one for Hamilton as he failed to make it out of SQ1 ahead of the sprint, and Q1 for the grand prix itself.

Jos Verstappen makes FIA demand after Max controversy

Jos Verstappen has called on the FIA to "step up in terms of professionalism" following the recent controversy surrounding son Max.

Verstappen was involved in three separate incidents with Lando Norris during the United States and Mexico City Grands Prix.

Hamilton makes derogatory Mercedes comparison

Lewis Hamilton has compared his Mercedes W15 to a "plank of wood" following a dismal São Paulo Grand Prix. 

Hamilton could only muster a 10th-place finish in the race after taking the chequered flag 11th in the sprint on a weekend where team-mate George Russell comprehensively out-performed the seven-time F1 champion.

Piastri assesses impact of key McLaren decision

Oscar Piastri has insisted that McLaren's difficult São Paulo Grand Prix was not due to introducing a new rear wing. 

McLaren fitted Lando Norris and Piastri with a new medium downforce rear wing, which saw both drivers excel in the dry and in the wet over one-lap.
